growing by the day, the event will be an ideal opportunity for LA companies to meet, network and plan a
co-operative strategy with some of the most important EU telehealth partners.
We understand that there are three factors that jusifie the interest in organising this meting:
- As a result of the innovative character of the sector, the Latin American market is not sufficiently
structured and this is the reason why it needs insight strategies at a long term. This is what determines
the profile and the goals of the Latin American companies that should have competence and technological
management.
- Concerning the rest of medical activities or other related with health the economic agents that we
could find in the telehealth market will be in different cases. In this sense:
- The mechanisms and the technologies related to home telecare permit the consumer or the patient
to be a customer and
- The ordinary customer that has access (by Internet or through another net) to a medical
consultation and to investigation database is in most of the provider of the cares -medical or
pharmaceutical.
The distribution has to be made through other ways, that means the entry of news economic agents in
the health sector who are not the conventional and already specialised ones.
- Concerning European companies, the profile does not correspond to the conventional one of the health
sector due to basic technical element that implies we will meet companies exclusively related to
telecommunications and information technologies such as Internet.
